A message from the MAST PTSA President

Dear MAST Academy Students, Teachers, Parents and Visitors:

Welcome on behalf of MAST PTSA.  Our children are among the lucky few who have been selected to attend this institution, rated among the top 50 schools in the Nation. We are truly blessed to have our children here in the incomparable setting of MAST Academy, where intellectual and personal growth is fostered by an amazing geographical setting, a highly motivated and culturally diverse group of peers, a principal who knows everyone by first name and an unparalleled group of dedicated teachers and staff that encourage our youth to reach their highest potential on a daily basis.

The privilege of attending a small school comes with the responsibility of participation. PTSA presents you with the venue to show this appreciation and give back to the school. We are a program sponsor organization.  We collect funds through a variety of means all year round and give back 100% of those funds to the children.   We support professional development, scholarships, summer school. This year we focused on a College Advisement Initiative to assist with the college readiness and selection process; this has included subsidies for CAP advising, we purchased Naviance, a web-based college selection program, we have held five per-grade family college readiness meetings to involve the parents in the college selection and application process, with expert speakers from the community; and we hosted College Night, with over 50 colleges in attendance.  Additionally, we support a plethora of extra-curricular activities and curriculum enhancement programs which set this school apart from all others, and represents our hands on support to our amazing and dedicated faculty and staff.

Your PTSA membership dues and contributions will help us fund those programs. Your participation in PTSA meetings will provide you with important information about your child’s education while increasing your awareness of the pressing issues facing our school and your place in their solution. There are so many ways you can help with just a minimum of your precious time and effort – an occasion for every talent. Take this opportunity and become involved in your child’s education.
